I’ve never met a polka dot print I didn’t like. In all honesty, I’ve had half of these items saved to various wishlists since they first arrived on their respective e-commerce sites and I thought it was finally time I stopped keeping the good pieces all to myself.
If you’ve never worked this spotty print into your wardrobe, this spring is the time to give it a try. It’s a fresh way to add a dash of fun without being too wild or over the top – unless you want to be, of course. For me personally, polka dots are a seasonless print and always better in some combination of black, white, or red. It’s also the perfect gateway print, especially if you want to dip your toe into print-mixing waters. It looks great with stripes as well as florals, and once you become comfortable with interchanging those three, the sky is the limit.
I’ve narrowed down my favorite polka dotted pieces to these six – seriously, it was difficult – that vary from casual to romantic and every dot in between.
Lane Bryant Sleeveless Polka Dot Jumpsuit
This jumpsuit combines three of my favorite things: one & done dressing, polka dots, and pattern mixing. The contrasting striped belt is such a modern, inspired touch that makes mixing two basic patterns extremely easy.

Premme Elle Dress
Nicolette Mason & Gabi Gregg‘s line Premme never fails to deliver fresh pieces for us plus size babes and this sweet & sexy dress is no exception.
Premme Elle Dress, $89
Ivory Polka Dot Mesh Dress
This black on white polka dot midi dress is the perfect example of how versatile polka dots are. With a leather jacket, as styled in the photo above, you could totally transform it into a rockabilly/Grease sort of vibe. With flats & pastel accessories, it could be perfect for brunch with your friends or a more casual Easter holiday with your family.
Torrid Ivory Polka Dot Mesh Dress, $59.17
Kady Fit Printed Crepe Pant
Confession time: my motivation for including these pants is completely selfish. I have loved and lusted over these perfectly-sized spotted pants since the day they landed on ELOQUII‘s site. Printed pants aren’t for everyone, but when they’re right, they’re right, and these are RIGHT.
ELOQUII Kady Fit Printed Crepe Pants, $89.90
ASOS Curve City Maxi Tea Dress
If you’re looking to add one polka dot item to your wardrobe, I highly suggest you start with this dress. It’s easy to envision it with sneakers, a denim jacket, and wayfarer sunglasses just as easily as it can be dressed up. It’s also the perfect dress to take on vacation because it will never be too casual or too dressy, yet somehow always just right.
ASOS Curve City Maxi Tea Dress, $48
ASOS Curve Spot Sequin Tee
This sequined cropped t-shirt from ASOS Curve is one of those wonderful items that shouldn’t exist but it does & it’s wonderful. The puffed sleeves add a bit of flair to a fairly ordinary silhouette, but nothing ordinary was ever covered in sequins. This is fashion’s version of an oxymoron and I can’t get enough.
Good day! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering if you knew where I could locate a captcha plugin for my comment form? I’m using the same blog platform as yours and I’m having difficulty finding one? Thanks a lot!
