When I first heard the news of a new addition to The Falsies line of mascaras from Maybelline (through Twitter, naturally), I was a bit skeptical. The Falsies is such an amazing product and some of the other iterations, like Flared, didn’t stack up to the original. When Maybelline The Falsies Big Eyes Mascara arrived, I was thrilled to see a mascara that covered all aspects of my mascara needs, with a large (though not as large as the original Falsies brush) brush for top lashes and a small brush (similar to that of Lash Discovery) for bottom lashes.
One day on Twitter, I admitted that I normally only use one mascara during my morning routine. Shock, outrage, and confusion poured in from my followers, many of them hardcore beauty girls, when they saw my tweet. Because of my complete happiness with The Falsies, I didn’t feel the need to use additional products. But then, I discovered the Clinque Bottom Lash Mascara. I think I heard angels sing the first time I used it to perfectly define, without clumping, my bottom lashes.
The results that I achieved with the top brush on The Falsies Big Eyes weren’t 100% just like The Falsies, but it was pretty darn close. Couple that with the convenience and savings benefits of including the bottom lash brush and it is almost the perfect mascara. There will be times when I want to be more dramatic that I’ll reach for The Falsies, but for every day, Maybelline The Falsies Big Eyes mascara is my new essential.
