This year didn’t look anything like I thought it would. In some ways, it was even better than I imagined. I feel tremendously grateful that I was able to visit my mom this year without hesitation. I realize that not everyone was quite so lucky.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This year @dannychaos138 taught me the importance of family and how to love. Both were things I *thought* I knew about, but actually had no idea. I’m so excited to grow and explore with him in 2021! 🍾

🌟 What it's like to be a poll worker 🇺🇸⁣

Today I was officially sworn in as a poll worker and worked my first shift. It wasn't the most mentally stimulating work, but it was important.⁣
⁣
I loved seeing the diversity of my community and parents bringing their children along to share the importance of voting. Many voters thanked me for volunteering, but I wanted to thank them for voting.⁣

Democracy requires participation to be truly representative, We need to all work together and recognize our individual responsibilities by participating in the process.⁣
