Reformation Launches Plus Sizes – Again

Sustainable fashion darling Reformation has launched their second attempt at plus sizes, Fashionista reports. The brand’s first plus size collection, which debuted one year ago, was in collaboration with controversial model Ali Tate Cutler. The collection appeared to sell well, despite the model’s opinion of the clothing’s target audience, and Reformation’s refusal to address the issue.

The new 18-piece collection is labeled as extended sizes on the Reformation website and features a variety of styles ranging from denim to bodysuits and dresses. Although the size filters show 1x-3x and 12-24 as the size range, only four pairs of jeans are currently available in numerical size 24. To Reformation’s credit, it appears that the 18 pieces are also available in their straight size range as well.

Taking a closer look at the size chart for the new pieces, the 1x-3x measurements appear to be the same as the previous collection.

The numerical size chart shows a slight half inch ease at the hips, which may help those who felt that the previous launch ran small.

Prices for Reformation’s extended size offerings range from $48 to $278, some of which are the same price as the straight size counterparts, and others are as much as $10 more for plus sizes.

I was excited at first, then i saw what they offer in the straight sizes and it's nowhere near the same or as cute. So I won't even bother with this.

Fair enough. I am disappointed that the entire line isn't available in size 24, just the denim. Strange choices being made all around. I assume they are playing it safe with the initial pieces and will hopefully expand.
